TreatmentWhat it doesBest for
GrindingFlattens tiles, removes deep scratchesLippage, heavy damage, old crazy paving
HoningRemoves dullness and etching in fine stagesWorn floors, etch marks
PolishingBrings the honed stone to a glossFinal finish after honing
CrystallisationChemical polish forming a hard gloss layerQuick shine refresh on sound floors

How to choose

If you can feel tile edges with your feet or see deep scratches, grinding comes first. If the floor is flat but dull, honing and polishing are enough. If it was polished recently and only lost some gloss, a crystallisation refresh is the cheapest option. A short site check tells you which.

How long results last

A properly ground and polished floor stays good for 3 to 5 years with normal care. Crystallisation alone usually needs refreshing every 1 to 2 years in busy areas.
