Marble Regrouting in Yishun

Grout keeps water and dirt out from under your marble. When it cracks, crumbles or turns black, water can seep under tiles, causing hollow tiles, stains and mould. We remove old grout with marble-safe tools and regrout with colour-matched cement or epoxy grout.

Cement or epoxy grout?

Cement grout is traditional, easy to colour-match and suits thin marble joints. Epoxy grout is waterproof, stain-resistant and does not need sealing, so it is a good choice for showers. It needs careful cleaning on marble to avoid a resin haze, which is part of our process.

Regrout before or after polishing?

Regrout first. If joints are cracked or open, we regrout before polishing so the floor is sealed and finished in one go.

Our process

  1. Remove old grout with oscillating and hand tools.
  2. Clean and dry the joints.
  3. Regrout with the chosen grout and colour.
  4. Clean off haze with stone-safe methods.
  5. Seal and, if booked, polish.

Frequently asked questions

How much does marble regrouting cost?

Regrouting is quoted from photos, because it depends on joint width, grout type and area. Send photos of the grout lines for a price, usually the same day.

Can you regrout without damaging marble?

Yes. We use oscillating and hand tools, not grinders that chip edges, and never acid to clean haze.

Epoxy or cement grout for my shower?

Epoxy is more water and stain resistant; cement is easier to colour-match. We will recommend based on your bathroom.

Should I regrout before polishing?

Yes, so the polish and sealer cover the finished joints.
