Marble Floor Polishing in Yishun

Marble floors take the most wear in any home. Living rooms, corridors and entrances lose their gloss first, tiles can sit unevenly, and older HDB crazy-paving marble often looks tired after decades of mopping. Our floor polishing service restores the whole floor to an even, reflective finish.

Which finish should you choose?

High gloss looks luxurious and suits living rooms and condo units. Satin (semi-gloss) hides scratches better and suits busy families with kids or pets. Matt (honed) is the most slip-resistant and suits wet areas. We can mix finishes, for example gloss in the living room and honed in the kitchen.

Older HDB crazy-paving marble

Many older Yishun flats still have the original crazy-paving marble: irregular pieces of white, pink and grey marble set in cement. It responds very well to grinding and polishing, and often looks better than new afterwards. See our guide to crazy-paving marble for what to expect.

Our process

  1. Survey the floor and mark hollow, cracked or chipped tiles for repair first.
  2. Protect everything that stays in the room.
  3. Grind (only when needed) to flatten lippage and remove deep scratches.
  4. Hone through progressively finer diamond grits.
  5. Polish to the finish you chose.
  6. Finish edges by hand, clean and seal.

Frequently asked questions

Do you polish crazy-paving marble in HDB flats?

Yes. It is one of the most common floors we restore in Yishun. It usually needs grinding first because the pieces are uneven.

Can you remove uneven tile edges (lippage)?

Yes. Grinding flattens raised tile edges so the floor feels smooth and reflects evenly.

Do I need to move out?

No. Most families stay in. We work room by room and keep one area usable when possible.

How much is marble floor polishing for a 4-room flat?

It depends on the marble area and condition. Polishing starts from $1/sq ft, a living or dining room from $350, and about 1,000 sq ft from $1,000. Send us photos or your floor plan for a fixed price.

Will polishing make my floor slippery?

A high-gloss floor is as slippery as a new marble floor when wet. If slip resistance matters, ask for a satin or honed finish.
